We called this site To the Moon and Back because that is something that means a lot to us. If you’ve never read the children’s book “Guess How Much I Love You” by Sam McBratney, it’s the charming story of a father and a child rabbit (or hare) where the child keeps asking the father how much he loves him until finally the the father tells the child “I love you to the moon … and back.” I remember reading this to my daughter when she was young but I’m not sure that she enjoyed it as much as I did. Anyway, it’s also an expression that I used to describe my love for Lynn when we were dating. In fact, “I love you to the moon and back” is engraved on the inside of our wedding rings.
To the Moon and Back describes a lot of love, but it also describes a very long journey. I don’t know where we’re going, actually. It might be the moon or it might be some place totally unexpected. I just know that I’m not taking that journey alone. I couldn’t do this without Lynn. I love her to the moon and back.
